About skin-loving oils & butters

Olive Oil : Olive oil contains about 70% oleic acid. Oleic acid contributes to the conditioning/moisturizing abilities of the soap. Squalene is a very important moisturizing component of skin and can be found in olive oil.

Coconut Oil : Coconut oil contributes hardness, cleansing, and big fluffy lather to the soap.

Apricot Kernel Oil : Apricot Kernel Oil is rich in moisturizing and conditioning fatty acids like oleic and linoleic and high in minerals, as well as vitamins A and E. It creates silky conditioning lather in cold process soap.

Macadamia Oil : Macadamia oil contains about 20% palmitoleic acid which promotes reproduction of skin cells.

Sweet Almond Oil : Sweet Almond Oil is known for its ability to soften and re-condition skin. It creates smooth and silky lather.

Avocado Oil : Avocado Oil contains Vitamins A, B1, B2, D, E, and Beta carotene. It is often used for baby soap.

Castor Oil : Castor Oil increases lather and contributes moisturizing to the soap.

Jojoba Oil : Jojoba Oil is a liquid wax. It closely resembles the sebum of the skin, and is rich in vitamin E. This promotes a glowing complexion.

Shea Butter : Shea Butter aids with the rehydration of dry, chapped skin. It is used in a variety of formulations including lotions, creams, after-sun products, luxury soaps, baby-care products and lip balms.

Cocoa Butter : Cocoa Butter is a natural, cream colored vegetable fat extracted from cocoa beans. It contains natural antioxidants that prevent rancidity. Cocoa Butter has been used in soaps and skincare products to moisturize skin and to keep skin supple.
